((I'd very much appreciate if your responses to this are at least one paragraph in length! Sorry if that's a bit much, but I'd like to make sure none of the time taken to write this was wasted.))
For twenty years and counting, the base had been abandoned. A few of the people who had stumbled upon it only went into the first few rooms before running out, maybe to the fourth or fifth room they saw at most. [Your muse] was not one of those people. They were determined to go as deep into the base as they could, to uncover as much secrets as possible, though they were only armed with two things; A flashlight with low battery life and a few large bags of plastic rhinestones to mark their path. And ever deeper they delved, going down each flight of stairs they found but only occasionally into one of the rooms they saw (if it was unlocked, at least.)
After a surprisingly-long while, however, the battery in [your muse's] flashlight died, and they were left in pitch-black darkness. With a hand on the wall, they still ventured on, until- extremely luckily- they felt what seemed to be elevator buttons. Pushing the 'down' button, they found it was still in good shape, even after 20 years. This day couldn't get luckier. Though it did stop a lot, up to a minute at a time for each, the elevator doors soon opened to an equally-dark but very deep-down final hallway.
On one wall, [your muse] felt a slot where a keycard would be swiped- And a keycard was resting right above it on a small chain. It was almost like someone wanted them there! After a few swipes, a loud hiss filled the air and two metal doors opened. What was in next hallway, lit up dimly but enough to see everything, was astounding.
Lining the walls were cylindrical glass holding chambers atop metallic bases, lit up from the inside. Bluish, translucent liquid riddled with upwards-floating bubbles filled each chamber, along with creatures [your muse] had never seen before. Aliens, most definitely, sedated and kept in these chambers. Some were almost human, but with slight, yet terrifying differences. Some were small and cute, but had an aura of destruction. And most of them had the same labels pressed on the base- "HIGHLY AGGRESSIVE", "KEEP UNDER SEDATION," and "NOT TO BE RELEASED" among other threatening-sounding phrases. Above that, on each chamber, there was also the creature inside's specimen number, what planet they hailed from, possible gender, and their potential intelligence.
One chamber, however, had nothing but the basics stuck on the base. "Specimen 47. Species unknown. Presumed female. Sentience highly likely."
Inside the chamber, floating asleep in the center of bluish-white liquid, was what looked to be a mostly-human girl- maybe 10 or so at most. However, from her head sprouted three sets of feelers, each one about an inch in diameter and very similar to squid tentacles in appearance. From [your muse's] estimation, the back set was about four feet long, and the other two around three. These were tied together by black ropes. Her face- most of her body, really- was almost hidden by long, shaggy, dark hair. On the base of the cylinder, there was a large button. From the light coming from the inside of the base, [your muse] could make out around the button two words; FOR PRESENTATION.
What does your muse do about this find?
