The man didn't use any more energy replying to the android, saving his breath. He carries Carbon to the room he'd bought and somehow manages to unlock the door while still not dropping him. Inside the room, he did as he said he would, laying Carbon on the bed and heaving a sigh of relief. He pulls off his jacket and throws it on the ground by the door as he shuts it, wearing a loose black collared shirt underneath. He rolls up both the sleeves and leans over Carbon, running a hand over his short, curly hair. "Ah, hell... I've never worked on anything advanced as this- ah, as YOU, sorry... You can't even give me instructions like this... I don't even have a phone to try to plug you into!" He runs his hands over his face and behind his neck. He glances at the computer in the corner of the room. "... That wouldn't work, would it? You can't speak through computers, can you?"
(Pff don't worry I get it. If it gets too bad w/ this you can leave if ya want Just another day for Mr King tbqh)

Letting a small whirring noise of curiosity escape him, the android child's one opened eye fixed itself on the computer. He'd remembered Graphite being able to do what the man had questioned about.. based on that, he could probably do it, too. Silently, Carbon began trying to start a connection with that corner computer, often glancing up at the other just to make sure he was still there. After a while, he managed to develop a connection. It was a very weak one , the damage to his form weakening any signals he tried to put out, but at least it was something. Suddenly, the computer in the corner began to start up, which Carbon found to be a sufficient answer to the man's question.
((i feel like that employee would have seen a bunch of crazy shet on any shift where she works alone. she'd be great on like a demon hunting team. 'oHMYGAWD ITS A //insert terrifying demon thing here\\' 'eh, one bought a room once while i was on one of my shifts'))

King had fallen into silence the entire time and begun to pace with a thoughtful expression. He jumps when the computer starts up and he ducks his head away from the screen just in case there was a camera on it, then approached it from the side. He eventually put the pieces together and his eyes flicker back over to Carbon. He looks between the android and the computer then back again, then his mouth opens in an impressed smile. "Is that you? Oh, man, that's so cool! You don't even need a connection or anything... Awesome..."

Carbon just let out a small metallic noise as a response to King's praise, more focused on trying to figure out how to do anything while connected. As the computer started completely, he opened a tab to the Internet, coming across some kind of search engine. Slowly, the little line thing appeared in the search box as he began to try and type, his message taking a matter of seconds, even with how slow it was typed; 'Yes, it's me.' That seemed to answer the other well enough. To be quite honest , he didn't particularly enjoy having to link himself with that computer; yet it was necessary, so he'd have to just bear it.

The man looked ecstatic and thoroughly, genuinely impressed. "Well, hello, Carbon! You can call me-" he hesitates for barely a moment, "-King, and I'll be helping you out tonight. I've gotta tell you, ever since I got promoted I don't do a lot of mechanics anymore and even when I did it was mostly on transportation but with your instructions now, I promise I'll do my best to get you functional again." He spoke like he was used to speaking in front of people, or like an announcer at a sport's game. On top of that, and despite being stranded alone in Tokyo, he looked completely ecstatic to have an opportunity to help repair an android.
(I mean I'd date her. Give her a nice hug and a pat on the head and like... a thumbs up. U go girl)

Carbon's message quickly began to backspace until nothing remained, and replace with yet another phrase: "It's quite nice to meet you." A small bit of comfort that this man- King, was it?-genuinely wanted to help had been there since the start, but it grew a bit more with his words. Switching back to having more control over his android form, his head turned to get a little bit more of King's face in his limited view, his non-functional eye fluttering open yet again. The semi-bright glow that his eye had had was now barely noticeable- probably due to the amount of light in the hotel room compared to the alley he had just a while ago believed would act as his deathbed. Whirring quietly, he fell silent and motionless, beginning to analyze every single part of his form that had gone through even the slightest bit of damage and how one would go about repairing it.

King grins at the text and adds a quick, "You, too!" As he waits for Carbon to finish his analysis without questioning it, he began pacing gently again. It didn't matter if the computer had internet or not, since he didn't know who the hell he'd email anyways. He wondered if there was a phone he could use somewhere in here. Who's number did he even remember? All his contacts were gone. Dammit, he missed his phone. He told himself to calm down, and regard this as kind of a break or vacation or something. He had a new task, anyways. He continued to wait for any instructions Carbon would give him, stopping his pacing by the computer again.

After the thinly-built android had gotten a good grasp of how he would go about instructing his own reparation, Carbon assumed control over the computer yet again, opening some kind of document-creating program. It'd be much better than the typing-space of a search engine for instructions- the more space, the better. Soon, text began to spring up in some semi-formal font, listing all that King would need to repair him before going into comments/vague instructions. My arms would be a good place to start. They're not as heavily damaged and will prepare you for much worse. Save the hands for later, though." He typed, separating it from his list of materials with some strange line of tildes, dashes, and underscores mostly there for decoration.
((just wait until these two get a little further into possible friendship because Carbs is the biggest freaking troll ever when he gets comfortable with someone/isn't in a severe state of disrepair It's like, he starts out all calm and collected and chill and then bibbity bobbity boo ur new ringtone is obvious porn noises and he's snickering like an immature 12yo behind ur back beware the tiny adorable shotabot. be very aware.))

King watches the instructions and bites his lip. He hoped he'd be able to follow all these instructions properly. He'd probably need to print this out somewhere. Still, the man smiled a little bit at the decorative punctuation. He waited for some indication he should print and get started. Haha sorry about the short reply I just woke up and I can't think of any way to elaborate.
(Omg... I love him I love Carbon...)

"Start whenever you feel fully prepared. Was the next thing Carbon typed, looking over his instructions many times over just to confirm to himself he had covered everything needed to raise him into a functional state, sometimes rewriting instructions to either give them more clarification or add some form of witty comment. When he believed his instructions to be finished, he regained control over his original body and simply waited for King to begin the reparation process.

King studies the screen, memorizing the list of parts to the best of his abilities. Despite being in tokyo, he had a good idea of where to get all these parts. He grabbed a napkin and a pen and scribbled down a few notes to make sure he didn't forget the specifics. He didn't need to print the rest off, because he'd be back here to read them. He reads it through once more, then grabs his jacket off the ground and pulls it on again. "Give me half an hour, maybe 45 minutes. If I'm gone for more than an hour, assume I'm dead. A worker here will find you eventually." Without waiting for a response, he took his keycard and napkin and shut the door behind him. If you don't have anything for Carbon to do just let me know and I'll continue quick

Carbon's eye followed King's movements as small metallic chitters left him, following every sentence he spoke with some other quiet, yet audible sound. He let the other's words sink into his mind, watching the room's door close and leave the android to himself. Unsure what to do with the following forty-five or so minutes, he simply let himself fall into some weak sleep mode. Not only would he be able to be 'awoken' by sudden sounds- say, the loud creak of the door opening or bags dropping to the hotel room's floor-, it'd also feel- to him, at least- as if no time had passed at all
((Yeah, let's just timeskip to after he's gotten back with everything bc why type out the wondrously eventful journey King is about to go on--))

Later, there were the sounds of the struggle behind the door. When the door finally clicks, King pushes it open, struggling with many bags, the key card between his fingers, and a coffee in his other hand. He kicks the door closed behind him and sets down the parts. As he promised, about 35 minutes had passed. "The employee in the lobby is very nice! Either that or my Japanese is just very, very rusty." He laughs and pulls his coat off again and puts away the keycard in one motion, then takes a sip from the paper cup and sets it on the dresser. He wakes up the computer, looks over the instructions again, then nods to himself. "Alright... You ready?"

Near-instantly, Carbon awoke, eyes snapping open. It took a few seconds to register the young man's words, still not fully 'awake'. A small beep of affirmation was his response, before switching to the computer and typing a quick "Ready when you are. ;-)" below his instructions. Just as soon as it had switched, he went back to controlling his android form- letting his form relax so that his limbs would be able to be moved with relative ease by King. Most of the time, he'd be reluctant to let anyone even get near him with anything on his list of parts, but this obviously didn't fall into the 'most of the time' category.

King followed the instructions to a decent degree of effectiveness. Admittedly, he was no prodigy, and even a little rusty, his piloting days behind him if he had anything to say about it. But with a nice list, a cup of coffee, and many "tell me if anything hurts"'s, the man made good progress. Eventually, he stepped away. "How's that?"
