So, I've been wanting to write this for AGES now, and I decided I'd do it now.
NOTE: This story takes place AGESSSSSSSSSS before pet phantoms were released. Also, I have a headcannon that phantoms have hidden vortexes all over Jamaa, in case you're wondering about the vortex leading onto the volcano, and not Greely's hideout.
Story info: This story is going to revolve around a Jammer (Who's main animals are an Owl (Named Infinity FrozenOwl) and an Arctic Wolf (Who's name is just Arctic Wolf)), a Phantom (with no name currently), the Jammer's best friend (Who's main animal is a Seal named Commander IcyPaw) and a rude scammer (Who's main animal is a Wolf named DJ SpiritGem).
The story is about a forbidden friendship between a Phantom and a Jammer, a romance between a Seal and an otter, some angry Alphas, two mean hackers, and a scammer, who wants to do nothing else except ruin everyone's lives. But when the entire fate of Jamaa is at stake, they must all come together to save the day, and at the end of the day, they all learn that they have much more in common than they first thought!

Prologue
"Hey!"
"Come back here you little traitor!"
"Don't let him get away!"
Screams and shouts filled the polluted air, bouncing off the dark purple walls, echoing throughout the dark chamber. Strange black creatures with round bodies, eight or six tentacles and one singular eye floated around frantically, as if they were searching for something.
A small figure with eight tentacles and a broken silver chain wrapped around one of his right tentacles floated around the corner, fear and desperation in his eye. He was holding a golden plate-looking object in two of his tentacles. At the end of the corridor was a swirling purple vortex, surrounded by a stone frame. Hope flashed in his eye.
I'm almost out! the creature thought to himself. He made a beeline for the portal, only to get dragged back by a strong force. He felt strong arms warp tightly around his. He let out a terrified squeak as he dropped the golden plate onto the cold ground.
"Gotcha you little runt!" a deep male voice yelled triumphantly.
"I can't believe he almost got away!" another female voice chirped.
"He has some nerve... Going against our king.." another male voice, this one sounding much younger, mumbled.
The big creature turned to the female one.
"Take the Beacon and hide it somewhere else. I want extra guards and watchers placed around it."
The female nodded, picking the beacon up off the ground and floating away with it.
The small creature tried to break free, but he was too weak compared to the much bigger creature.
"L-let me go! P-please!" The creature begged, tears welling up in its eye.
The much bigger creature, the one bounding the smaller ones arms, leaned in and whispered in an ominously soft voice.
"You're a disgrace to our kind. A pitiful excuse for a phantom. We're taking you back to the king, and we're going to let him decide what happens to you. And I can guarantee you, it'll be slow and painful."
The smaller phantom's eye widened in horror at the thought of being brought back to his king. He squeezed his eye shut.
I'm going to die.. Mira please have mercy on my soul...
...
Thump!
The phantom opened his eye again, and felt the bigger phantom release his hold. He looked back in confusion, and found his two captors unconscious on the ground, swirls in their eyes. Four lime green feathers landed gently on the cold floor, not making a sound.
She's still here... The small Phantom thought.
"Now's your chance!" A familiar female voice whispered. "Get out of here!"
"M-myth?! I-is that you?!" The Phantom asked, looking around frantically. "H-how did you escape?!"
"There's no time to answer that question. Now hurry and get out. Don't worry about me, i'll be fine. Please, save jamaa."
The phantom wasn't about to argue. He yelled a quick "Thank you!" And rushed off towards the portal. Phantom vines whipped his small body, but he tried not to notice.
Almost there!
The phantom shut his eye and flung himself into the swirling vortex.
A few seconds later, the Phantom pulled his tiny body out of the dark portal, and landed with a thud on the ground. Rain. It was raining hard. The Phantom squeezed it's eye shut as rain pelted his small body. He was covered in bruises and cuts, but he managed to escape that horrible place. He forced himself to get up, and he began to float a few meters off the ground, his body trembling as he did so. The ground began to shake and rumble, some rocks fell down the sides of the cliffs, and some cracks opened up in the earth, revealing boiling orange liquid. Lava. The rain mixed with the magma, causing it to hiss and steam.
The Phantom moved forward quickly, not wanting to be in this horrible place any longer. That's when a large rock fell from above, hitting the Phantom. He landed back on the ground, bouncing a bit. He was about to go over the side of the cliff, but he grabbed a rock with one of his eight arms. Shaking, he pulled himself back up onto solid ground, but to his misfortune, the ground began to shake again, flinging his body off the side of the cliff. He let out a shrill screech as he plummeted towards the ground.
The small phantom opened his eye.
I'm... Not dead..?
He looked around, and found that he had landed in a pile of snow. Letting out a sigh of relief, and sending a silent thanks to Mira, he pulled his body out of the chilly substance. The shivering Phantom forced himself to stay airborne, crossing his arms for warmth.
He floated aimlessly around a corner, using one of his spare arms to wipe snow out of his eye. The frozen water stung his eye, but he had to keep moving forward, no turning back now. He'd rather die trying to be a hero, or die being a coward.
"T-this is h-harder than I t-thought.." The Phantom said to himself, struggling to stay airborne.
"B-but I h-have to warn Jamaa... I have to try make this right.."
SNAP!
The Phantom came to a sudden halt. Pain. There was so much pain in one of his arms. He looked behind him... And found that one of his four left arms was caught in a chomper plant. He could feel the sharp fangs dig into his squishy skin. Crying tears of agony, the small Phantom tried to pull his arm free, but to no avail. He was stuck. He sat down on the ground, letting out a sad sigh.
Gee, luck really isn't on my side today... The Phantom thought to himself. He scoffed.
Luck never was on my side. Ever since I was made I've been nothing but a hurricane of bad ideas and bad luck.
That's where he got the nicknames 'Unlucky' and 'Hurricane'
He stood out from the other phantoms. You could easily tell it was him because he constantly messed stuff up. Like today.
A group of Phantoms had returned from a mission earlier that day. They weren't alone though. They had a prisoner. A Jamaasian.
It was an eagle, with lime green feathers and Chocolate brown eyes. She looked at the Phantom leaders, not showing even the slightest glimpse of fear. She remained silent the whole time, and just stared straight ahead when she was taken away.
The Unlucky Hurricane had been watching the whole time. After being taken into custody by some Phantom guards after messing up their last plan, and escaping his prison, He began to plan his escape from the Phantom Vortex, but before he broke out, there was an object he wanted to get before he left.
The Phantom beacon.
He thought that it might be of use to the Alphas. But he would need assistance in trying to get it. He thought the Eagle might be able to help him get the beacon, and both get to the Phantom vortex before they both got caught.
Somehow, he managed to sneak past the guards with no trouble at all. Luck was on his side that. one. time.
He got caught by a few Phantom watchers, but he managed to shut them off before they could send an alert to the leaders. He managed to find the key to the Eagle's cell, and successfully freed the animal.
"Why would you do that?" The eagle asked after she was freed.
"I'm different from the other Phantoms. I don't want Jamaa to be destroyed. Now please, I need your help. The Phantom leaders are going to make the volcano erupt in only a matter of weeks now. And if that volcano erupts, Jamaa will be washed away by a flood of boiling hot magma." Hurricane quickly explained. "I need your help. There's an item, hidden in this horrible place. It's called the Phantom Beacon and-"
"Hold it." The Eagle said. "The Phantom Beacon? I was sent, along with an Arctic Wolf, a Seal and an Otter, to look for such an item."
"Then does that mean-" Hurricane started. The Eagle nodded.
"I got caught on purpose. I heard rumors of the beacon being hidden in this place. I thought it would be easy to break out of the cell, because, well, no offense, but most of your species isn't very smart. But it turns out I was wrong. There were ZERO hidden passages to use to escape. I was about to give up, but then YOU showed up."
Hurricane's eye widened in shock. This Eagle had risked her life for the sake of her land.
"So yes. I will help you." The Eagle finished. She held out a talon. "My name is Mythical IcyGhost."
Hurricane shook tentacles/talons with Mythical.
"All the other Phantoms call me the 'Unlucky Hurricane'"
"And why is that?" Myth asked, tilting her head to the side.
"It's best I don't explain it. Let's just go find the beacon and make a run for the Portal." Hurricane replied.
Their plan seemed to work in the beginning, but when things got really tough, they found themselves in a rather sticky situation.
"Myth, look out!" Hurricane shouted to his friend.
Myth flew up in the air, barely just dodging the stream of sticky Phantom goo that got shot at her. Instead, it hit another Phantom guard, making him stick to the wall. The Eagle pulled some boomseeds out of a small brown adventure bag around her neck. She flung the boomseeds at the remaining guards. Her aiming skills were incredible. All the boomseeds hit, and the remaining Phantom guards exploded.
Hurricane grabbed the Phantom Beacon, but as he did, he heard loud squawks and shouts. Apparently, Myth had accidentally been caught by a Phantom Watcher, who sent out an alert to the leaders.
The Unlucky Hurricane dived into a patch of Phantom Vines. He watched, fear in his eye, as he watched Myth get dragged off once more by some Phantom guards. Once all the guards had left the chamber. He came out of his hiding spot, shaking. Myth had yelled something before she got dragged off.
"Don't come back for me. Run. Get out of this place and warn the Alphas. Warn Jamaa."
The new guards, who didn't know that Myth was working with one of their own, thought that this meant there was another Jamaasian hiding somewhere, and so they split up and looked.
Hurricane floated cautiously through chambers, making his way towards the Phantom vortex. But a guard had spotted him, and she alerted the leaders. Next thing Hurricane knew, he was being chased down.
And all that leads to now.
I messed up big time..
He looked up at the peak of the volcano. It was only a matter of time... The Alphas and Their little 'helpers' would be here in a few more days. The Phantoms were going to make this Volcano erupt. It was only a matter of weeks... Days now... And all of Jamaa would be destroyed.
He closed his singular eye.
It'll all be over soon... I'm sorry Jamaa... I tried... I really did... Please forgive me Zios... Please forgive me Mira... Please forgive me... Mythical IcyGhost...
So that was the Prologue, Chapter 1 will be up soon! I hope you're enjoying the story so far owo This took years to write XDD
