In, and yes, Kanto is the starting point. Hopefully we don't reach Alola until November if the roleplay is even still alive...
The region where your character's legendary/mythical guardian lives is where you meet your legendary and let them travel with you and your other Pokémon.

Other things I should add: Your Legendary/Mythical guardian have been ensuring your characters' safety since they (your character) were born. All characters entered have a higher purpose, which is the reason why.
The storyline is not completely set in stone- you decide what to do during the travels throughout the regions of the Pokémon world. Be as creative as you want! Your destiny can be anything.

I never thought about the character amount, haha I guess you can have up to 3... maybe up to 5 depending on the number of Pokémon OCs you want to use, because the amount of mythical/legendary Pokémon is limited and I'd like for all characters entered to be uniquely represented by a legendary that no one else shares.

okay neat I can make maybe 2 guardian kids and just askin' to make sure: the 5 means that at least 2 of the ocs DON'T have a connection of some sort?

I was considering a sort of "normal" friend y'know just a trainer with some average goals doesn't know anything about the legendaries if you just want guardian-only kids then I can totally understand :0

Actually, having "ordinary" people involved is a really good idea o:
I might make one too to balance it out
Feel free to make characters whether they have a guardian or not :3

Name: Shiroki Hanamura Gender: Female Age: 14 or so Personality: Shiroki is a bit of a ditz, but means well. She's forgetful and tends to get into a good bit of trouble because of this, but overall, she's kind and wouldn't purposefully hurt a fly. She enjoys gardening and flowers in general. Generic genki girl protagonist. She loves drawing the flowers and berries she grows, always having some kind of fruit on hand. Looks: Shiroki's hair is naturally platinum-blonde, but she dyed a few large chunks of black into her bangs, which are parted to the left. She has blue-grey eyes and lightly-tanned skin from working in the sun. She has high cheekbones, thin lips, a full frame, and is a 34B in cup size. She's a bit tall for her age at 5'8". Wears: She always has a (sometimes real, sometimes fake) Gracidea flower in her hair. She normally wears a lavender dress that ends at her knees, tied with a dark green sash, and black leggings underneath. She'll sometimes wear dark brown gardening gloves, but almost always has the same pair of black flats on. Socks vary, but are usually mismatched. Legendary Pokémon: Shaymin Pokémon (in Training): She has a Roselia, a Deerling, a Cherubi, and a Petilil, along with a Skiddo as her first Pokemon. Which Region Are You From?: Floaroma Town, Sinnoh. A Bit of Other Info: Her father traveled a lot as a Gogoat racer, and would often bring back Pokemon for her and the rest of the family, which is how she got two out of her five Pokemon. She hatched the Skiddo herself- Her father was given their egg by a fan. She found the Cherrim in a tree while picking berries, and the Roselia as a Budew- she needed to go to Eterna City to pick up something and accidentally stepped on the Budew. Her, her sister Mari, and her mother run a florist shop that specializes in making wedding flower arrangements- so she's most comfortable around Grass- and Bug-type Pokemon. She also likes Water-types (both a friend and someone to water the plants for her), and plans to fill her sixth spot with one. Shiroki often rides on her Skiddo, and is quite good at it.

Name: Yoshino Moriyama (i'm sorry for looking weebish, sinnoh's based off of one of the japanese prefectures and i'm using a magical girl oc)) Gender: Female Age: 14 Personality: Yoshino is definitely a bit more mature than Shiroki, being the blue oni to her red. She's calm and collected, and enjoys learning. She can come off as a bit shy due to usually being lost in thought, but she's anything but. Looks: Yoshino has shoulder-length dark brown hair pulled back into a low ponytail with a red bow. Her eyes are black, and she has a thin frame with loosely-defined hips and a flat chest. She's more average in height at 5'3". Wears: She usually just wears jeans and the first t-shirt she can find, along with dark boue high-tops. Legendary Pokémon: noep Pokémon (in Training): She has a Shellos, a female Combee, a Cottonee, and a Cherubi. Which Region Are You From?: Floaroma Town, Sinnoh. Other Info: Sometimes helped the Hanamura family with their flower arrangements, but doesn't do it as much anymore. Not at all, really, since she's in Kanto, but that's beyond the point. Went to Kanto with Shiroki. The Cottonee was actually the Hanamura fam's Pokemon, but she was allowed to take it with. The little guy had a tendency to eat a lot of the berries that they sold. Yoshino's first Pokemon was Shellos, which she was given by an old friend. She caught the Cherubi herself. The Combee was one of her cousin's- said cousin bred them for their honey.
