No setting in particular, but I'm guessing it will be in France around where Nathaniel works and lives. I'm presuming that Conner has been to France at least once before in his life, but he can't speak French. Now who should start?

Mm, I guess I could. I usually write horrible first posts though so bear with me :P
It was a typical Friday evening in Paris. People were making their way home from work and a few youth were heading out to parties and outings with friends. Nathaniel, who had a day off on Friday, had nothing to do on this evening, so he walked to the metro station with his cello in attempt to earn some extra money. Since a majority of people were either getting back from work or heading out with friends, he expected that he would have a decent audience.
He chose a bench that was fairly out in the open, sat down, and set to work setting up his cello. He swept the bow across the strings, making adjustments to the strings. A couple people took interest and approached him slowly. However, he didn't notice them. A few moments later, Nathaniel pushed up his glasses, pushed a section of hair out of his face, and started with a series of short strokes on the cello. After a while the staccato notes started to flow together, and Nathaniel closed his eyes, swaying in time with the song.

That was good for a first post! Most people aren't able to write as well as you are, especially me.
-------------------------
Conner had been relaxing on one of the roof-tops in Paris, he had finally gotten some time to do his own thing and he finally got to do what he did best. Sit on a roof-top. That was when he heard something, his ear picks up the frequency and he turns his head to the metro station. After watching it for a while with the sound not stopping, he sighs. He stood up and looked down to see if there was anything safe for him to land in, and eventually he saw exactly what he was looking for. Conner then shut his eyes, opened his arms and fell off the rooftop, and he opend his eyes to see that he was safe. Grinning to himself, the Assassin then smoothly jumped out and ran towards the station, having several mishaps with not knowing how the door worked, and he entered it. Sure enough, there was someone there playing music, so he sat down on one of the bences to watch.

Ah thanks! :3 Your post is good too. ---------------- After Nathaniel finished a few more pieces, he decided that it was getting late. He thanked the five people standing around him. After they walked away, he looked at his case, wondering where he would put his cello as he put his earnings away. He didn't do horribly for the time he spent here, he thought, realizing that there must be about €50 in his cello case. He turned back to his cello, deciding that propping it against the bench would be too risky; it might fall over. Slowly lowering the instrument onto the ground, he winced upon hearing gravel crunch underneath it. Nathaniel turned to the case and started emptying the money into his wallet.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone approach the cello. He didn't pay them much attention, assuming that they were only looking at it. But then they sped away with the cello. Horrified, he quickly stood and shouted in French --slightly broken French spoken with what sounded like a German accent-- for them to come back. He looked around to check of anyone saw what happened, and when he was sure that no one had, he ran after the thief himself.

The Assassin narrowed his eyes, it was by the Assassin's Creed that this sort of stuff wasnmt to be accepted. He then got up and ran after the man who had just stolen, hearing the distant rumbling of a train as it got closer to the station. He judged where the person would go and as soon as he saw the light of day, he instantly scaled the wall of a building and jumped over the rooftops to be able to reach the thief easier. As soon as he activated his Eagles Vision, he could see the red aura of the theif as well as a blue aura of some other guy who seemed to also be chasing the thief. "Man can't win by ground alone" Conner says to himself as he lept across the next building roof and slowly closed the gap between him and the theif. "Luckily the Police aren't involved..." he mutters to himself as he gave chase.

Nathaniel’s yelling ebbed away after a while as his breath became more laboured. His roommate always suggested that he get out more instead of focusing on his studies so much and he realized that it might have been a good idea to take his advice. How fast was this person running? He made his way up the stairs and outside, moving a lot slower than he would have liked. When Nathaniel finally got outside, he looked around and noticed that the thief wasn’t anywhere in sight. He swore softly to himself. In a couple weeks he had a performance and there was no way that he could scrape together enough money to buy a new cello. And it wouldn’t even be the same either. Out of the three that he owned throughout his life, this was his favourite. He stood in the same spot and continued searching for movements in the shadows of buildings as though the thief would be stupid enough to make a reappearance once they were out of sight.

Conner's gaze swept across the open area, watching as the thief ran and checked to make sure he wasn't being followed "How silly. He should always make sure to look up. But I'm not one to start a fight... Am I?" Conner thought as he watched "Actually, that is a lie. I actually enjoy the fighting. Barely anyone knows it is me and I can quickly flee before anyone can catch me. Time to use my sneak attack skills on the thief before he knows what even happened" the Assassin then brings out a Pistol and fires at the leg of the thief, watching as it hits right where he had aimed. Conner hadn't even jumped at the sound of the gun being fired, while the thief had stopped to look around and wonder where it had come from. "Thank you for my amazing skill of sight" he comments to himself before going to the edge of the roof and sitting down with his legs hanging down. It was going to be a good day. "Now where did that other guy go?" he asks as he notices that Nathaniel wasn't following "Maybe he got lost. I'm going to have a hard time getting his thing back if he isn't even able to follow one petty thief.
------------------------------------------
BACK FROM AMERICA FINALLY! Now I'm gonna be able to comment more often! And Conner has no idea what a cello is, and doesn't know that Nathaniel hasn't been out for exercise as often as he has. What a mean Assassin Conner is.

Nathaniel jumped as he heard a gunshot in the distance. A few other people in the crowd shrieked at the sound. He turned to where it came from. It would be very unlikely, but perhaps the thief was shot down. Then again, he thought, it's not like anyone would just happen to have a gun, spot a thief and shoot them down. Thefts happen too often. And, if it weren't.... He shuddered to think what would happen to him if the gunshot was from that of a murderer. After a minute or so of debating whether it was worth checking to see if it was indeed the cello thief, he ran in the direction the sound had come from. He wasn't going to lie; his sense of hearing had faded a bit from spending time playing in school orchestras, but at the same time he could tell the difference between two closely-sounding instruments when they played the same note in the same octave.
At last he arrived, gasping for breath. The thief was on the ground, clutching their leg. The cello was beside them, which Nathaniel assumed they dropped when their leg was injured. He didn't know what was more heartbreaking: the crack in the side of the cello's body or the thief who was obviously in pain. He looked around for who might have shot the person in the leg. ----- Ah yay! Did you have a nice trip though?
I guess it serves Nathaniel right; he's too stubborn to listen to what his roommate tells him to do. Maybe injuring his precious cello will convince him to take other people's advice once in a while.

Conner was sat there on the roof, watching what had happened. He saw the thief fall and turned his head to see Nathaniel appear in the street "Hey, it looks like the music man is here. You took your time you know, I was here faster than you and I had more of a distance to go. Plus, I also had to get up here. Do you know how long it takes the climb up buildings?" he comments as he looks down at the other man.
--------------------------------
It was really awesome. Yup!

He spun around and looked up at the voice. His eyes went wide for a moment and he glanced to the side quickly, making sure that there was something he could defend himself with if he needed to. Not that it would help, of course; this man was obviously the one with the gun, and considering his fitness level, Nathaniel hardly stood a chance. "I... my apologies," he looked up at the man on the building. "I don't live a life that calls for me to climb buildings on a regular basis, nor do I have to regularly chase down thieves." He pulled out his phone. "I should probably call an ambulance for them though. I'm surprised the police haven't arrived yet. Did you know you can only use guns for animal hunting here?" Despite trying to sound authoritative, his voice quivered slightly and his hand shook as he pulled his phone out of his blazer. ----- Ah. That's good that you had fun.

"Only hunting animals, huh? Tell that to the police. Or the Americans actually, the Americans tend to have guns anyway." he says as he stands up and jumps down while his hood stayed up to darken his face "I'm not one to call the Police, we hate each other. Well, they hate me and I keep out of the way most of the time" he puts the Pistol away and glances at the thief "You are lucky I am letting you live, normally I would finish you off but it isn't required for me to do such a thing..." he then looks at Nathaniel "... And it looks like you could do with a new instrument. Unless you have some spares hidden away somewhere, how do you think you will get the money for it?". Conner then shifts his gaze to the side "Someone else must have heard and called the Police, or they saw what happened. That means that I can't stay for long, I am going to have to go before the Police catch me and try to kill me yet again" and Conner scales the wall of the building before looking at Nathaniel and then he turned to leave, knowing that they were going to meet again sometime. It always happened, you meet someone and you are certainly going to meet again. Hopefully it wouldn't be by a similar situation though, he didn't want to waste his bullets on some random thieves he would normally use his Hidden Blades for.
------------------------------------------------
I think Conner does hate the Police more then he says he does, and Nathaniel is probably gonna need to find a way to sort out the situation that Conner left him in. To be honest, Conner would be willing to kill the thief he he had seen the need to do so, but that would probably be making stuff short. We also need to decide where they will meet next, and how long it will be! Because that certainly isn't the end of Conner and Nathaniel meeting each other and talking and geting to know each other more. Plus, the Police should show up earlier next time to find Conner and try and deal with him. And Conner should get injured because that is the only way he will stay in one place for a long period of time.

Nathaniel opened his mouth to speak, to say that this was France, not America, and that the police normally didn't carry guns except for certain circumstances. Even then, they needed express permission from the mayor. He decided against it, though, deciding that arguing wasn't a very good idea right now. This man helped him after all, even though the cello was as good as useless and the thief was shot. "I know a place where they'll fix it," he lied, knowing that of course that wasn't possible. He'd have to buy a new one, and quickly. He sighed. There was always the two at the Conservatory. He could ask to borrow one for the time being. At the sound of sirens, he watched Conner climb the building, watching him until he was out of his line of sight. Soon after, he heard sirens in the distance, so he waited for them with the thief. Nathaniel knew that he would be a suspect whether he ran or not; his fingerprints were on the cello. But if he stayed, maybe they'd be quicker to realize it wasn't him with the gun.
Sure enough, the police and an ambulance soon arrived, and the thief was quickly whisked away to get the bullet removed while Nathaniel was put into handcuffs. When he asked if he was being detained, the officer said yes, since he was at the scene of a shooting. He was forced into the car. As it drove away, he leaned his forehead on the window. What had this man gotten him into? -------------------------------- Even though I imagine the police would free him after they questioned him and such, Nathaniel isn't going to let go of this event easily; when he runs into Conner again he'll be (very) angry but probably too scared to do much more than talk to him. His anger does tend to get the best of him at times, though.
If Conner is into cafes, maybe they could meet at the one Nathaniel works at? Say a week later or so? Maybe the police could arrive just as Conner steps out the door? It's up to you when the police show up for him since he's your character though. I'm actually sensing that he might tear up a bit from the anger.

I guess that could work, someone in the cafe could see Conner and be all like "OMG, that is that Assassin guy who everyone sees but can't catch and he keeps running away and all that" and call the Police and then Conner and Nathaniel could meet and recognize each other and then a yelling fight would happen and Conner would wonder why this had to happen when they meet again then he could leave to find that someone had called the Police and he hadn't heard them come and then he would find himself in a situation.
And it would be clear to the Police that Nathaniel was innocent after some questions, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. And Conner should learn that not everyone can be as fast as he is, there are people like Usain Bolt who are (probably) faster than he is after all.
-------------------------------------------------------
---SEVERAL DAYS/WEEKS LATER---
Conner had be thinking about the man who he had saved the instrument for, wondering why they had met and if it was just a coincidence or if it was meant to have happened "I'm... I might get a coffee to clear my head. I have the money for it, and there is nothing better for me to do anyway" he says to himself as he was sat on a roof "Now where is the nearest coffee shop... That isn't rubbish?" he asks himself as he stands up and scans the buildings. One seemed to stand out to him as he was searching so he jumped down and walked in its direction. Making sure his Hood was down to not scare anyone, he walked into the building and looked around "Cute place, huh..." he mutters as he walks up to the counter "One coffee, I have the money. If you do it in a takeway cup then that would be great. It is Euros here, isn't it?" he looked around at the place again. There were several people sat down with drinks. Some were on the phone, most likely to their boyfriends, and others were just sat there talking to their friends. This was the normal scene in all the Cafes he went to, people talking and people on the phone. He would get his coffee and pay for it and leave to do other stuff like normal, or so he thought.

Ahh yes that'll work -------------- Nathaniel was working in the cafe's kitchen, baking food to display in the glass counters where people made their orders. He iced a carrot cake with a furrowed brow. As he worked, his mind kept flickering back to the time he spent at the police station some time ago. Two hours of complete humiliation as they checked his records and interrogated him. And he still had to deal with the cello after! The Conservatory allowed him to borrow a cello, but only after nearly a week of consideration---a week of practice he lost, a week that he could have used for improvement. If that's what he got for trying to earn some extra money at the metro station, he definitely wouldn't be going to do that again any time soon. He'd have to work overtime for three months to purchase another cello, and it wouldn't be the same either. He wanted to blame the man who shot the thief. But what good would that do? The thief would have gotten away, and he would still be without a cello.
He took a step back to admire his work for few moments before bringing the cake to the front and sliding it behind the counter. After scribbling out "Carrot Cake" and the price onto a piece of card, he folded it and set it underneath the cake stand. He caught a reflection of himself in the glass and noticed that there was an icing smudge on the side of his face and closed his eyes in frustration before shouting into the kitchen that he was taking his break. Nathaniel went to the washroom to clean up, then went behind the counter to get himself a coffee and a sandwich. He took a seat where he could see the line up at the counter clearly as he ate.

"That was fast, good service as well. I might actually come back here" Conner says with the coffee in his hands after paying, he turns around and then stops as a familiar face catches his eye. "Am I seeing things?" he thinks and he glances over to see it was who he thought it was "I know you, from that time ago. You were the music guy, weren't you?" he says to Nathaniel as he moves some of his black hair out of his eyes "You were trying to catch that thief who stole your instrument, and you couldn't get it fixed after it was broken" he then says.
