Alright, so, I wasn't gonna say anything about this because I didn't really wanna get into it, but-
I miiiight've contacted moshi staff and asked them if they had a timeframe or an idea on how long it might be before things were up and running again. I was really polite and I explained that I had friends I hadn't been able to contact since we lost the ability to post, and I explained I was wondering how long it might be before things were up and running again - did they have an idea on when the overhaul might be finished? And I told them that I'd read the thread on the forums and that I'd also already seen their usual response ((and explained that it was another friend wondering about other things)) and that I'd really appreciate an actual response.
And.. I actually got a reply.
Like, an actual, real reply, from a member of the staff, not just some automated response or the message they left in the forums two months ago ((two months ago today, actually)).
So that was really cool.
And this is what it said ((I sent it from the email I used to register my Christmas account, so I introduced myself as that account)):
So, now we know. Chances are it won't be back up within the next couple of weeks, I'd assume, but at least now we know what's going on, kind of?

Taken from this article, which was released five days ago. So, either way, we're going to be looking at a relaunch. Which kind of scares me to be completely honest, because I'm not sure if they mean shut down everything and start over completely - meaning we lose everything, or if it simply means something like an "overhaul" of the entire site. Kinda like what they're doing with the forums now. Whatever happens, though, we still have probably close to a year before it does happen, so that's good at least.
So, yeah, I guess. Now you guys know. I've known about the first bit for a few days now actually, but I didn't really want to get into it so I stayed quiet about it. I just read the second one today.
Also, if I were you guys, I'd avoid bombarding the staff with emails just because I got a reply. Chances are things haven't changed, and they might stop responding and give automated responses again if they get a lot of emails. So it might be good to avoid that.
