"Jean-Luc? So, do you speak French?" He pauses the conversation to take note of everyone's names, trying to match them to faces and figure out where everyone was sleeping. Just in case, I guess. Bird had a very movie villain laugh; closed-mouth evolves into a kind of titter, looking down at Hazyll. "If you say so." Capucine greets everyone with a smile, little wave, and sometimes a quiet, "Salut!"
"Alright, well... go unpack." Jess gestures vaguely to the bedrooms for the ones not already there. "I'm thinking I'll let Ver take you out to the fire pit. As long as you don't stay out too late, and nobody comes back injured." "Nothing more than mild burns and nightmares," vows Ver. "... because of the ghost stories."

"Eh? Uh.... No." Jean-Luc tilted his head a bit. Guess that answered that. "Don't underestimate what I can do with some well-placed words." Hazyll had a mischievous grin on her face as she spoke, doing the little creepy-crawly finger wiggling thing with one hand. She definitely didn't look like someone who could tell ghost stories. Neither Rei nor Ichigo said anything else, going straight to the bedrooms and beginning to unpack.

"Can't wait to get my socks scared off!" Berry replied with a laugh as she and the others headed off to unpack. This sure was an interesting group. She felt it'd be a fun summer.

"... then who the fuck named you Jean-Luc?" asks Cyprien incredulously. "<Cyprien, fuck's a bad word,>" singsongs Capucine in French as she passes by, getting a sharp "<shut up>" in response. ">This is why nobody wants to be your friend.>" "<Shut up,>" repeats Cyprien, watching her head into the room to start unpacking. Bird didn't head into the rooms. She had her stuff in a suitcase and the suitcase was by her bed and that was unpacked enough for her for now. Ripley wandered back into the room but didn't do much to unpack either. Ver left for the firepit, assuming that everyone else would know their way. It wasn't far from the cabin.

".....My grandpa's French, at least on my mom's side. I'd try learning a bit, but I barely passed English this year. God knows how bad I'd butcher the language." Jean-Luc began explaining, shrugging slightly. "Well, I'll be unpacking now. Uh.... Bye." He slipped into the room and opened his garbage bag, beginning to unpack. The Hayashi siblings had started a conversation in some dialect of Japanese from across the room as they unpacked. Hazyll didn't really bother unpacking and followed after Ver, eager to tell her ghost stories and maybe help with the fire. But then she remembered something and ran back inside, pulling a pack of large marshmallows and a bunch of wooden skewers from her bag before running out yet again. Best come prepared.

"They were, um, speaking French, right?" Berry asked as she pulled a sweater out of her suitcase. She'd heard it got kind of chilly at night, and as skeptical as she was, her mother had insisted she pack the thing. Leona nodded. "I think so. I didn't understand any of it, but it... sounded French." "Ohhh. Yeah. Definitely did." Sage, not having much to unpack, was already done and heading off to the fire pit. Beck was intentionally moving a bit slower than he could've, wanting to delay going out and having to interact as much as he could.

"Ah, d'accord." Cyprien nods to himself. At least it made sense. He joined the others in unpacking. "We're French," confirms Capucine. "Quebecoise, actually. I'm Capucine, that's my cousin Cyprien." Just in case they didn't hear her earlier, I guess. "Capucine, are you gonna go out?" calls Cyprien. "Yeah!" "Mmkay, I'm coming then."
Ver glances backwards at Sage and Hazyll. He'd been setting up this fire all day and he was super psyched to start it up. He'd wait for more people.

"Pleasure to meet ya! I'm Berry, and this is, uh... Leah?" She glanced at the girl beside her, laughing nervously. "Leona," the girl corrected. "My name's Leona."
"That is... a large collection of sticks," Sage observed. It was probably going to be a heck of a fire.

"'Cyprien' is a really poetic-sounding name." Jean-Luc's idea of 'unpacking' was more like 'dump the contents of the bag on the bed and hope for the best', hastily putting things in drawers and finishing quickly. He could organize later, right?
"My name's Rei." Rei just sort of blurted that out, in case they forgot to tell everyone.
Hazyll beamed at the unprepared fire, eyes glittering with excitement. She tucked the skewers under her arm and began to try and tear open the bag of marshmallows as she walked, soon sitting down a safe distance away from the fire-to-be.

"Hi!" replies Capucine to all three of them, looking around. "Are you all coming to the fire? Meet you there!" She spins and heads towards the door, walking quickly so she could be outside soon. Cyprien flips a bottle of bugspray in his hands and glances at Jean-Luc with a little chuckle. "Uhh, thanks? See you outside." Ripley stood quietly in the room and watched everyone trickle out, scratching his head.
"YOU BET YOUR ASS IT IS," Ver replies confidently, then pauses. "Okay forget I said that, I'm a counselor and I'm like 80% sure I'm not supposed to be swearing in front of you guys. But anyways." He flicked the lighter on and off impatiently in his hands. "Also, smoke wards off mosquitoes."

"Race you there!" Jean-Luc ran right by Capucine to get out the door first, though he wasn't even close to being fast.
Rei and Ichigo walked out together, with Rei straightening their hairbow as they walked.
"Eh, I don't care, when can we tell ghost stories and start the fire and roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories? I brought a whole lot of marshmallows~" Hazyll sat down near the fire pit, taking out a skewer and putting a marshmallow on.

"I think we're just waiting for everyone," Sage said, looking around. There fortunately weren't as many people as expected, but he still didn't quite have all the names down yet. Berry joined everyone outside, grinning when she saw the firepit. "Oh, gosh, an actual campfire. It's gonna be huge, isn't it?"

"Anyone want a skewer while we wait for everyone?" Hazyll took a few wooden skewers in her hand and extended her arm in the general direction of where everyone was approaching the firepit. But then, something came into her mind, and she set the marshmallows and skewers down. "Oh! Almost forgot something! Don't start the fire without me, okay?" She ran into the cabin to get chocolate, graham crackers, and another roastable sweet- Starbursts.
Jean-Luc nearly crashed into his fellow cabinmate, diving out of the way before stopping at the firepit. "Wow, you've already gotten it set up? Cool... Who brought the marshmallows?"

Capucine makes an offended noise and immediately darts after Jean-Luc, quickly surpassing him. She stumbles to a stop by the campfire. Cyprien puts his hands and bug-spray deep in his sweater's pockets and trails behind.
Ver flicks his lighter. "It's going to be a great fighter. And it looks like I finally have enough viewers." He pauses at Hazyll's exclamation. "Oh, wait! C'mon... Ugh..." He looks down at the pit. "... I'm starting it anyways." He shoved his hand deep into the kindling. A tiny glow from his lighter very quickly caught something, and spread all over the kindling and right to one of the logs. It grew very quickly. Ver barely got his hand out in time, waving the heat away a bit, then grinning at it.
