He hummed in agreement. His life... it was on the right track. He was lucky, except for what happened to Darius, so he couldn't imagine trading it for something different. Quite abruptly he tore his gaze from Conner, apparently startled by nothing in particular. "Would either of you like seconds?" He asked, referencing the pasta.

"That would be nice, thank you" Serena says.
"No thanks..." Conner mutters, shaking his head for a bit and then he actually bothers to take his hood down "... I will be fine" he finishes.
"I actually want to see what is on the news, see what sort of stuff is going on right now" Serena suddenly says, mainly because she wanted to see what stuff was going on as she hadn't checked the news in a while.

Nathaniel nodded and collected Serena's bowl to refill. He came back a moment later and gave the bowl to her. "Our cable is very basic because it isn't really our priority. Darius translates whatever I can't understand but..." He shifted a bit in his chair. "I'm not sure how proficient your understanding of French is. We have a laptop. Usually there are English reports of French news on the Internet."

"Thank you, and that might help!" Serena says, glancing over at Conner who was now staring intently at the TV

Nathaniel left again to go get the laptop. He didn't come back for a few moments because the laptop decided that this was the time to install updates. He grumbled a bit, waiting for the updates to finish. The computers in the libraries were better; he never had to wait for updates and--he frowned, clicking the web browser icon again--mice were easier to use than touchpads. After when it finally loaded, he found a site for English news reports and came back into the living room. "Sorry I took so long." He pressed play on one of the videos and set it on the coffee table so both Serena and Conner could watch it.
